What a wonderful class celebration today! It warmed my heart to see my students share all their hard work with their loved ones! As I was looking around the room, I became very sentimental... this is a a special group! Why is it that when you know the end is here you appreciate what you have more than ever? I experienced that emotion today.
I want to thank all of you from the very bottom of my heart for your on-going support. I also want to give a shout out to all those parent volunteers who join us on field trips and came in the classroom from time to time! Most of all, thank you for trusting me to teach your children-it was a honor and my passion to help them grow.
You all have done an amazing job- their respectfulness, cooperation, hard word, etc... speaks volumes of YOU!

Students were challenged to make a container holding exactly 293 pieces of popcorn. See the pictures that showcase the different shapes. We launched the activity by reading The Popcorn Book by Tomie DePaola. We had a few surprises along the way. Congratulations to Story and Madeleine for creating a container into which the popcorn fit perfectly! Also, to everyone else: Luke, Tully, Drew, Brady, Vivi, Heather, and CC!

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, students learned about density and what that means with solids and liquids. Here are a few photos of our experiment with using 6 liquids to determine which are the most and least dense. To find out how we explored this concept, please have your child share! It was very exciting to watch...
